US to designate Antifa Radical movement as terrorist organization

Washington, May 31 (UNI) President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he will be designating the far-left anti-fascist movement Antifa as a terrorist organization.
The decision was made as mass protests have swept across the country for nearly a week now after George Floyd, an unarmed African American man, died at the hands of a white police officer in Minneapolis.
"The United States of America will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization," Trump wrote on Twitter.
The president has accused the Antifa movement, which includes left-wing and anti-fascist groups in the United States, and whose aim is to fight far-right and white supremacists of making the George Floyd protests violent across several cities in the United States.
