US seeking control of Iranian oil reserves: White House Official

Washington, March 7 (UNI) The administration of US President Donald Trump wants to gain full control of Iran's oil reserves, Executive Director of the White House's National Energy Dominance Council (NEDC) Jarrod Agen said.
"This is a long-term game because what we want to do is get such massive oil reserves in Iran out of the hands of terrorists… Ultimately, we are not going to have to worry about these issues in the Strait of Hormuz, because we are going to get all of the oil out of the hands of terrorists," Agen told Fox News on Friday.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched strikes on targets in Iran, including in Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran responded by striking Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East.
