US Navy Chief in India to discuss security, attend Intl Fleet Review

New Delhi, Feb 3 (UNI) US Chief of Naval Operations Admiral John Richardson today began his four-day visit to the country during which he will meet national security officials besides taking part in the the Indian Navy-hosted International Fleet Review at Visakhapatnam.
His first stop is the national capital where he discussed Navy-to-Navy relations and opportunities for further technical and security cooperation, the US Embassy said in a statement here.
While in Visakhapatnam, Mr Richardson will meet with Sailors from USS Antietam (CG 54), a Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser, and USS McCampbell (DDG 85), an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer.
