US-Israel amp up attacks on Iranian military infrastructure, IDF claims it struck Iranian nuclear facility

Tel Aviv/Tehran, March 12 (UNI) The joint strikes by Israel and the US against Iran have been amped up amid the ongoing blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, and heavy incidents of piracy in the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf, with Washington and Tel Aviv pounding the Islamic Republic's missile and weapons infrastructure.
According to the IDF, it had struck on Thursday an alleged Iranian nuclear facility near Tehran where it claimed the regime was advancing "critical capabilities" linked to nuclear weapons development.
According to the IDF, the site — identified as the Taleghan compound — was targeted during recent waves of strikes around the Iranian capital. The military said the facility had been used in recent years to develop advanced explosives and conduct sensitive experiments linked to the alleged AMAD Project, which Israel says was part of Iran's past nuclear weapons programme.
