Upward trend in fuel prices continue for second day on Friday

New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) Fuel prices rose for the second consecutive day on Friday.

Petrol became dearer by 14-15 paise a litre while diesel prices were raised by 15-16 paise per litre across major cities of the country.

In national capital, petrol costs Rs 71.29 a litre as against Rs 71.15 on Thursday while diesel price climbed to Rs 66.48 per litre as compared to yesterday's Rs 66.33.

In Mumbai, petrol is retailing at Rs 76.93 while diesel costs Rs 69.63 per litre, according to IOC's website.

In Chennai, petrol costs Rs 74.02 a litre while diesel is sold at Rs 70.25 per litre. Similarly, in Kolkata, petrol is at Rs 73.39 and diesel retailing at Rs 68.12 a litre.

In Gurugram, petrol price went up by 9 paise to Rs 71.84 as against Rs 71.75 on Thursday and diesel price hiked to Rs 65.99.

Petrol in Noida selling at Rs 71 while diesel price raised to Rs 65.58 per litre.
