Uprooted tree causes death of woman in Rhenock: MP Indra Hang visits the spot

Gangtok, May 29 (UNI) A woman died in a severe storm that hit Chalisey Rhenock on Friday evening in which a big tree got uprooted and fell on the hut below.
The lady Gopi Maya Darjee was badly injured and two other family members got injured. They were all taken to health centre. Gopi Maya died while on the way to hospital.Rest of the injured family members including, Kunta Darjee daughter and Nikita Darjee grand daughter are presently under treatment in the Rhenock Health Centre.
MP Lok Sabha Indra Hang Subba,MLA Aditya Golay made it a point to visit the spot,accompanied by ward Panchayat,Additional Superintendent Police,Rongli and other officers.The severe storms and constant rains have been reportedly causing havoc in different villages.
