Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Dec 2 2016 6:36PM Upper house fails to transact any business even on last dayPatna, Dec. 02 (UNI) The upper house of the Bihar legislature had to be adjourned without transacting any business as members of both the treasury and opposition benches stalled the proceedings of the house. Today,being the last sitting of the winter session Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh announced adjournment of the house sine day. Members of both the benches continued from where they had left yesterday and soon after the house assembled the days started creating disorderly scenes in support of their respective demands. As soon as house assembled for the day, BJP member Rajneesh Kumar urged the Chair to accept his adjournment motion on issues like payment of pension to old aged people, widows and denial of benefits under National Family Welfare Programme and other social security schemes to the poor people. He said that the discussion should be held on these issues in the house by suspending other listed agenda for the day.
