UP: Woman killed in clash over land

Bulandshahr (UP), Dec 7 (UNI) A woman was killed in a violent clash between two groups over construction of Panchayat Bhawan in Anupshahr area of Bulandshahr district here in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, a senior officer said here.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar said that village head of Badarkha Ikram was getting a Panchayat Bhawan constructed on which former head Iqbal Khan had raised objection. "Around 11.30 am Iqbal along with accomplices reached the spot with a JCB machine and started demolishing the structure which was opposed by Ikram's side," he said.
He said that the verbal spat escalated in a clash during which some persons opened fire in which Saeeda (45) sustained bullet injury. "She was taken to the district hospital where Saeeda died during treatment. Three persons have been arrested in this connection," he said.
