UP: Three of family killed as roof collapses

Badaun, Aug 6 (UNI) Three members of a family were killed when the roof of their government accommodation collapsed in the Islamnagar area in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district, police said on Thursday.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Siddhartha Verma here said that Sushil (68), a retired nursing assistant of the health department used to live in the old government quarters of the health department in Islamnagar town. The building was in a rickety condition.
Due to the rains in the recent days, the roof of their residence collapsed. After a foul smell started emanating from the residence, the people nearby informed the police. Police cleared the debris and found the bodies of Sushil, his wife Naseema (55) and son Sameer (16). All three bodies have been sent for autopsy.
