UP: SP MLA gets 15 days imprisonment

Ghazipur (UP), June 5 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA from Jangipur assembly seat Dr Virendra Yadav and 14 others were sentenced to 15 days imprisonment and penalty of Rs 200 each by a local court here on Monday in a violation of model code of conduct case, prosecution sources said.
Prosecution sources said that on February 16, 2017 SP MLA Virendra Yadav along with his supporters Rajendra Yadav, Vijay Yadav, Chandrabhan Gupta, Vikrama Yadav, Radhey Muni Yadav, Badu Yadav, Sanjay Yadav and 200 unidentified people took out a procession on Ghazipur-Mau road.
Prosecution sources said that when the police inquired about the permission for taking out the procession the MLA and his supporters failed to produce the same. "On the basis of complaint a case for breach of peace and other sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was lodged against the MLA and his supporters," they said.

Shahpur, Oct 2 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Revenue, Horticulture and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi on Monday said said Rs 1300 crore will be spent under Shiva project
Negi said the state government has increased the amount given to the owners of houses completely damaged during the disaster from Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand to Rs 7 lakh, this will benefit three thousand people of the state. An assistance amount of Rs 1 lakh will be given to the owners of partially affected houses, this will benefit 13000 affected people. An amount of Rs 50,000 will be provided on the death of a cow during a disaster.
