UP: PM inaugurates redeveloped Aishbagh Jn. railway station

Lucknow, Jul 17 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 75 redeveloped 'Amrit Stations' of Indian Railways and other projects under the 'Amrit Bharat Station Scheme' including the Aishbagh station in the state capital today.
The inauguration of these 75 Amrit Stations across 20 states marks one of the world's largest station redevelopment programmes. As part of this initiative, the redeveloped Aishbagh Jn. railway station of the North Eastern Railway's Lucknow Division was inaugurated today.
A programme was organized at Aishbagh Jn. station, attended by Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Brajesh Pathak, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Seth, MLCs Lalji Prasad Nirmal and Mukesh Sharma, Vice-Chairperson of the UP State Women's Commission Aparna Bisht Yadav, BJP City President Anand Dwivedi, Representative of the union Defence Minister Diwakar Tripathi, other public representatives, Divisional Railway Manager (Lucknow Division) Gaurav Agarwal, and senior officials.

Majority Uttarakhand madarsas yet to comply with Dhami govt's effort to integrate them with mainstream education system

Dehradun, Aug 12 (UNI) Madarsas in Uttarakhand have largely ignored the Pushkar Singh Dhami government's efforts to integrate them with the state Education Board and the mainstream education system. Only seven of the 452 state recognised madarsas have shown interest in seeking affiliation to the Uttarakhand Education Board after the Dhami government scrapped the State Madarsa Board on July 1.
This has caused a setback to the state government's intent to integrate minority children with mainstream education in Uttarakhand.

Haryana fixes ₹7 5 lakh compensation for unnatural deaths in police custody

LoP slams Himachal govt for petrol-diesel cess, alleges burden on common people

Shimla, August 12 (UNI) Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Wednesday accused the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government of burdening people with taxes and various charges, making basic facilities including education and healthcare increasingly expensive. In a statement issued here, Jai Ram Thakur said the Chief Minister was running a “fee government in the name of welfare” and alleged that the government was taking arbitrary decisions without considering their impact on the common people.
