UP govt working for all sections of society: Yogi

Basti, Aug 17(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath here on Saturday asserted that his government was working for all sections of the society.
The Chief Minister, who was here to participate in a program of Tapasi Dham Temple, said the doors of the temple should be opened to everyone.
Addressing the 'Sant Sammelan' here, he said that Tapasi Dham was the "focal point" of national integrity. Here, the program of Independence Day runs for three days, in which people coming from different regions take a pledge of national unity and integrity, Mr Adityanath said.
Speaking about the schemes of the state government, the Chief Minister said that the government was committed to the welfare of farmers. The Munderwa sugar mill will crush 50,000 quintals of sugarcane per day and start from October, the chief minister informed.
He said there will be no migration among UP farmers as by 2022 every farmer will have a house of his own.
The Chief Minister said that the medical college has started smoothly in Basti and MBBS course bagan. "This is the pious place of Maharishi Vashishth, hence we have named the medical college after him," he said.
The Chief Minister said that Basti has a number of holy pilgrim places and state will soon enhance them for tourism. He said Makhoda Dham will be revived. Along with this, flow of Manorama river has been accelerated by cleaning the river.

Shimla Municipality goes strict on pet owners for road cleanliness

Shimla, Aug 15 (UNI) Shimla Municipal Corporation has decided to come up with an initiative to keep the city
clean by charging the pet owners who does not clean their pet's feces on roads, with a heavy fine
The new move was taken during the meeting of Shimla Municipal Corporation recently as a resolution was
passed by MC house to take this call against such practices in the civic body. The pet owners would have to carry poop bags with themselves otherwise they will be fined heavily for this brazen disobedience.
