Lucknow, May 19 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, expressing his firm resolve to maintain law and order, said that his Government would hit hard the crime, criminals and their political masters. During his nearly two hour-long reply to the debate in the State Assembly on the Motion of Thanks to the Governor's address at the joint session of the state Legislature, Mr Adityanath said 'Those who governed UP for 10 years, are raising questions on the performance of our two months of rule. 'We will neither tolerate the criminals, nor those who give them shelter. This Government is of not any one community or religion and anyone. Those who victimises the poor and the downtrodden, should be ready to face the consequence," he added. 'The criminals know their destiny after the BJP came to power in UP, we will deal with them in whatever language they understand. The Government has given a free hand to the Police Administration to come down heavily on the crime and the criminals. 'For the first time in my life, I saw the members blowing whistles during the address of the State Governor. I have seen traffic police blowing whistle, but for others who whistle, we have constituted an anti-Romeo squad," the Chief Minister remarked, attacking the Samajwadi Party. He said during the anti-Romeo drive, state police had nabbed over 1.74-lakh Romeos, who were creating trouble for the girls and the police checked at 6.38-lakh places across the State, adding that 1,061 persons were booked and the rest were let off with warning. 'My Government is committed for ensuring the safety and security of the women,' he asserted. 'Na Koi Apna Na Parayaa (nobody is close or stranger to me), everybody knows about me. I have decided that the Government will not tolerate the crime,' he said in his reply, which covered all the issues raised by 74 MLAs from both the Opposition and the Treasury benches, during the four-day long debate in the Assembly. In an obvious attack on the SP and BSP, the Chief Minister said 'who is behind the criminalisation of politics in UP, politicisation of the criminals, casteisation of the administration, commercialisation of the criminals and turning the transfer of Government officials into the industry? 'We all know the answer, my Government needs some time to clear the mess created by the Government in the last two decades,' he added. Mr Adityanath covered all the issues concerning the society and the economy of the State, including the revision of syllabus from primary to higher education for given due recognition to the icons, who were ignored by the previous regimes, sugarcane farmers, ensuring remunerative price to the farmers through minimum support price, electricity supply, ending the VIP culture, assistance to the differently-abled, health services, closure of the illegal slaughter houses and the plight of the Muslim women, who are victim of triple talaq. The Chief Minister said that his Government had to enforce the NGT's order on illegal slaughter houses as the previous government did not do so. "We will not allow anyone to violate the laws. I categorically told this to the delegation of slaughter house owners, who came to meet me," said Mr Adityanath. The Chief Minister further said that very soon the Government was going to constitute the anti-land grabbing task force, to identify the land grabbers. Mr Adityanath, who hails from Gorakhpur, an epic centre of the dreaded encephalitis, said that a mega drive would be launched from May 25 from Kushinagar for vaccination to prevent this disease among the children. The drive will cover 38 districts, mostly comprising the eastern and central parts of the State. He further said that the Government had fulfilled its promise to waive farm loan up to Rs one-lakh, while the cane farmers have been paid Rs 21,570-crore and the rest would be done soon. Talking about the introduction of e-tendering to prevent corruption, the Chief Minister said it was unfortunate that the Mining Minister of the State earned what the Government did not get from mining revenue. He also hit out at the SP and BSP, stating that the renowned personalities were divided on caste, but this Government has ended all holidays on their names and now, the students of the state would know about them in their classes. 'By introducing e-tendering and other systems, the revenue would increase by 7 to 10 times in mining sector and eliminate the illegal mining. The revenue would further increase after satellite mapping in the areas of mining. In the previous SP Government, the revenue of the Mining Minister was far more than the revenue of the department,' he quipped. The Chief Minister said that pension of the Divyang has been hiked to Rs 500 from Rs 300, besides all the roads in the State would be made pothole-free by June 15.
