UP govt to make 'women empowerment' as part of edu syllabus

Lucknow, Oct 31 (UNI) Toeing the ideology of Nelson Mandela, who once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”, now the Uttar Pradesh Government is going to make Women Empowerment and Dignity as part of education syllabus.
UP will be the first state in the country to bring this change in the educational sector. From the next session, under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, both the Basic and Higher Education will be having a syllabus based on empowerment and gender studies. It will help in building awareness in the individuals of all genders and equality among children and youth starting from an early age.
Earlier, in the first stage of the successful Mission Shakti campaign, launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 5,57,383 students from 6,349 colleges were made aware through different awareness programs, competitions, and webinars. In the second stage of this successful campaign, the website will be launched containing all the data related to women’s and child’s safety.
