UP govt takes stock of various schemes for Purvanchal

Lucknow, Sep 17(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari has aassessed action plans prepared by various departments for the overall development of Purvanchal districts.
Mr Tiwari, here on Thursday, discussed in detail both the plans and the implementation strategy devised for overall development of the districts.
These plans were shared by various departments including Agriculture, Irrigation, Fisheries, Industry, Tourism IT, Medical and Health, Vocational Education, Basic, Secondary & Higher Education and Transport, etc. The state plans to install about 8000 solar powered borewells, of which about 2500, which is 35 percent of the total target, would be installed in Purvanchal districts such as Balrampur, Shravasti, Siddharthnagar, and Kushinagar, where the suitable location would be identified.
