UP govt orders probe into alleged VVIP treatment given to SP MP, family in jail

Lucknow, Aug 15 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday ordered a probe, in connection with the alleged VVIP treatment given to former minister and present Rampur MP Mohammad Azam Khan, presently lodged in the Sitapur jail along with his family.

The ex-Congress leader Faisal Khan Lala in his complaint to the state government as well as to the Union Home Ministry has alleged that Samajwadi party leader Azam Khan has been provided with a mobile phone inside the Sitapur jail while Khan, his wife and son were being given food brought from a five star hotel in Lucknow.
