UP govt committed to economic uplift:Yogi

Kanpur, Nov 16 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that his government was committed to the economic uplift of the state here on Friday.
"To bring in economic development and investment the present government had girded up its loins to not only improve law and order but to set up a conducive and safe environment so that investors can invest in the state," he said .
The CM, while addressing the concluding session of UP-Dexpo 2018 at CSA Ground here said' Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also eager to ensure the economic development of Uttar Pradesh and thus state had been chosen for the defence corridor. He said work in the direction had already taken off and the bhoomi-pujan will be held in January 2019. He said every effort will be made to solve and settle the issues which were linked to this prestigious project.'
He said with the Defence Corridor in the pipeline, the entire world was now looking towards Uttar Pradesh which was about to metamorphose into a developed and progressive state. He said top business houses were eager to invest in Uttar Pradesh and assured the investors to fearlessly invest in UP and said the government was committed to providing a conducive environment to the entrepreneurs and safeguard their financial interests.
The CM said Single Window System had been introduced to facilitate the quick establishment of the defence corridor. He said this corridor will bring in financial progress and there shall be great employment opportunities.
Yogi said the UP Government had organised a UP Summit in February 2018 in which Rs 4.68 lakh crore has been ratified. He said by July last Rs 62,000 crore investment had been started and said by December 18 around Rs one lakh crore investment will start in UP.
He said the defence corridor will prove to be a milestone and said the issues had been discussed threadbare with officials and entrepreneurs. The CM said the state government had issued strict directives to the authorities concerned to speed up the work in the direction.
He said Dexpo-2018 will greatly benefit Kanpur- Bundelkhand region and thus this segment was on the threshold of economic progress once the defence corridor became functional. This mega event had emerged to be one of the most remarkable events to channelise the efforts being made for making UP Defence Corridor a ground reality, he added.
He said this will make India self-reliant for its defence requirements and generate employment opportunities for the economic progress of the state. He said besides it also aimed at bringing the Defence Forces of India, Defence PSUs, Ordnance Factory Boards, Research and Development Institutions, Defence Manufacturers, suppliers and service providers, strategy makers, policy making and implementing authorities of government under a single roof to interact with each other.
Later he also made a surprise visit to Galla Mandi where he personally interacted with the farmers and assured them that they will not get less than what the support price had been fixed by the UP Government. He warned the entry of middleman and directed the officials and the farmers to ensure they eliminated the role of middlemen so that the benefits can be availed by them.
He warned the officials of strict action in case there was any victimisation of the farmers. UP Ministers, Satish Mahana and Satya Dev Pachauri along with several MPs and MLAs were present along with the office bearers of the party.
