UP govt assigns ‘ArdhKumbh’ significance of ‘Kumbh’, preparing to make it historical event

Prayagraj, Dec 5 (UNI) The state government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is making all necessary efforts to make the upcoming Kumbh fair here a historical event, even as the Pauranic traditions recognise this occasion in the ‘Sangam’ city as an ‘Ardhkumbh’.
According to Hindu beliefs, the world-famous ‘Kumbh’, organised in Haridwar, Prayagraj, Ujjain and Nasik is organised according to the ‘grah-nakshatras’, upon whose calculations, the fair is organised within a gap of 12 years.
According to the ‘grah-nakshatras’, the 2019 fair will be called ‘Ardhkumbh’ which has been given the stature and form of ‘Kumbh’ by the state on an administrative level and it is being propagated and promoted at the international level.
