Varanasi, May 29 (UNI) Five people drowned while bathing in the Ganga river in the Ramnagar area of this Uttar Pradesh district on Friday.
Police sources said that Badhi area residents Tausif (20), Rizwan (16), Safi (15), Lucky (14) and Farid (14) were bathing at the Sipahiya ghat of the Ganga river when they started drowning.
Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and took everyone out with the help of divers. They were rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared them as brought dead.
