UP Dy CM Maurya urges people to join digital Census 2027 self-enumeration drive

Lucknow, May 8 (UNI): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Friday appealed to the people of the state to actively participate in the census by filling out the self-enumeration form digitally at his camp office at 7-Kalidas Marg as part of the first phase of Census 2027.
With the pledge of "Our Census - Our Development," the Deputy Chief Minister personally filled out the digital form as part of the house listing and house enumeration work that began in the state on May 7. He said that every citizen should contribute to the success of this important national campaign by providing correct and authentic information.
He said that this time, along with the census, a caste census will also be conducted. The first phase will enumerate buildings and houses, while the second phase will enumerate every individual. The public has been provided with the option of self-enumeration until May 21, 2026, through which citizens can enter their information on the digital platform. Census personnel will then go door-to-door to complete the enumeration process.
