Lucknow, Jun 4(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday transferred Rs 1301.84 crore online in the accounts of 86,71,181 beneficiaries as pension instalment for old age pension, Nirashrit Mahila pension, Divyang pension, leprosy pension and as an additional relief under the Pradhanmantri Garib Kalyan package.
The Chief Minister said that when the entire world is grappling with the global epidemic Corona, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is concerned about all the people. He said that earlier in April, a two-month lump sum pension was issued to all the beneficiaries. Now another instalment has been released again to these beneficiaries.
Addressing the beneficiaries through video conferencing, the Chief Minister said that today with the help of technology, fund is being directly transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries by one click. This was not done earlier. Earlier there was exploitation, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made such an arrangement that the 100 per cent of the fund released from Delhi and Lucknow is reaching the beneficiaries' accounts on time. He said that the beneficiaries do not have to visit the bank. Pensioners can get money in their villages from the banking correspondents, and this will help avoid crowding in the banks, the CM said.
