UP: Boy charred to death, 7 injured in fire incident

Farrukhabad (UP), Feb 23 (UNI) A boy was charred to death and seven others were injured when a major fire broke out in the huts of Kalpvasis in Kadari Gate area of Farrukhabad district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that the incident took place near Ramnagaria bridge when the huts of Kalpvasis erected during the month Magh caught fire in the morning. "Due to string wings the fire spread rapidly and around 45 huts were gutted in the incident," they said.
Inspector in-charge of Mela police station Satya Prakash said that the fire was controlled with the help of two fire-tenders. "A boy Govind (13) was charred to death in the incident," he said.
