Unnati cruises into QF of Badminton Asia Jr Cships

Nonthaburi (Thailand), Dec 1 (UNI) Extending her brilliant winning streak, rising India shuttler Unnati Hooda stormed into the U-17 women's singles quarterfinals at the Badminton Asia U-17 & U-15 Junior Championships 2 with a comfortable victory here on Thursday.
The Odisha Open champion thrashed Thailand’s Nutchavee Sittiteeranan without breaking a sweat by 21-11, 21-19 in the Last-16 match.
Starting off the match confidently, Unnati pocketed the first set easily but was pushed hard in the second. The Indian, however, kept her calm even when the game was poised at 18-18 and displayed her brilliance to wrap up the match comfortably in her favour.

Top-seed Unnati will now take on South Korea's Min Ji Kim in the quarterfinals on Friday.
