Unnao gangrape: BJP MLA's wife demands narco test of her husband, survivor

Lucknow, Apr 11(UNI) Unnao gangrape accused BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Senger's wife Sangita on Wednesday met Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police O P Singh here and demanded a narco test of her husband and the rape survivor.
Meanwhile a Special Investigation Team(SIT), led by ADG Lucknow zone Rajiv Krishna, commenced its probe in the gangrape and custodial death of victim's father in the case.
Though Sangita told reporters that she had come to plead for justice for her husband as she claimed that he is totally innocent. She also demanded that for an impartial inquiry. Police, she said, should go for narco test of both to find out the truth.

"My husband is innocent. If he is proven guilty, the entire family will give up their lives. The way evidence are being hidden, it is not correct, we want justice," Sangita said.

During her meeting with the DGP, Sangita also presented several documents in support of her husband and tried to prove that the girl had made the charges on behest of some people.

She was accompanied by BJP MLA from Gainsari in Balrampur Shailesh Kumar Singh Shailu to the DGP's residence.

Meanwhile the SIT of UP police led by ADG Lucknow zone reached Unnao and commenced the probe on Wednesday.

"The victim's family will be provided full security. They have a relative in Delhi, now it is their decision if they want to live here in Unnao or in Delhi," Mr Krishna told media in Unnao.

He said, "We have come here to investigate. I will send the interim report to the state government by this evening. All the angles are being investigated. There is no pressure on the SIT. It is working independently."

On the other hand, the Allahabad High court has taken suo motu congizance of the incident and has summoned all reports from the government tomorrow, when the court will hear the case.

The High Court took the congizance on a letter sent by the victim to Chief Justice D B Bhosle.
