Unlawful activities tribunal to hold sittings in Hyderabad from May 10

Hyderabad, May 4 (UNI) The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Tribunal to be presided over by Ms Justice Mukt Gupta, Judge, Delhi High court, will hold sittings at Ranga Reddy District Collectorate office here on next Friday and also on Saturday ( May 11) to record evidence of witnesses and cross examination on declaring Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) as an unlawful Association.

The Tribunal appealed to the general public to attend the hearing and those who are interested in giving evidence may file their affidavit (in duplicate) with the undersigned and shall present in person on the two-days for their cross examination, if any before the Tribunal, an official release said here on Saturday.

Hyderabad, April 24 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a communication stipulating that every individual employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or establishment, eligible to vote in elections to the House of the People or the Legislative Assembly of a State, shall be granted a paid holiday under Section 135 B of the Representation of People Act.
