University of Mysore granted autonomous status by UGC

Mysuru, Mar 21 (UNI) The century-old University of Mysore (UoM) has been granted autonomous status by University Grants Commission (UGC) for having maintained high standards of excellence.

In a decision towards liberalised regulatory regime, 62 higher educational institutions including University of Mysore have been granted autonomy by the UGC on Wednesday.
