Union Textiles Minister praises Telangana’s unique industrial policies

Hyderabad, Jul 6 (UNI) Praising for the Telangana government’s unique industrial policies and quality leadership, Union Minister for Textiles, Smriti Irani on Monday stated that Telangana has been successful in attracting major investments to the state in the last six years with its industry-friendly policies.
Participating in a webinar hosted by Invest India Exclusive Investment Forum under the title ‘ Textile and Apparel Sector Edition, Smriti Irani appreciated the thoughts and inputs given by Telangana Minister K.T.Rama Rao (KTR) during the session. She praised Minister KTR’s words where he mentioned that the Telangana state will provide all sorts of facilities on par with other states to the industries which come forward to invest in Telangana.
The Union Minister also appreciated the heads of textile industries and stated that India has risen to become the top second country to manufacture PPE kits during the pandemic situation.
During the webinar, Minister KTR, who gave an overview of the various investment opportunities in the textile industry in Telangana, said that the Telangana Government has given top priority to the textile and apparel industry in the state.
The government will provide complete assistance to the companies which come forward to invest in Telangana, the Minister mentioned that Telangana's Kakatiya Mega Textile Park is the largest textile park in the country and claimed that the state textile policy is the best across in the country.
The government is already providing uninterrupted power supply and water supply to the companies in the state, he mentioned that under the Mission Bhagiratha program, 10 percent of the water has been allocated to the industries.
There are already 60 lakh acres of a cotton plantation in the state, he said that the Southern India Mills Association has declared that the ‘cotton quality in Telangana is the best not only in India but across the world ‘.
Minister gave an overview of the progressive industrial policies and also the single-window clearance system under TSiPASS.
He also mentioned the industrial parks coming up in the Textile sector in Telangana.
During the session, Welspun CEO Dipali Goenka appreciated the Telangana government and stated that Telangana is the best destination for industries in various sectors.
Sharing her experiences, Dipali Goenka said that Telangana has visionary leadership and hence offers the best industrial policies, suitable for business.
During the session, Telangana Government Principal Secretary ( IT and Industries) Jayesh Ranjan presented a PowerPoint presentation and explained about the state's policies and other opportunities in Telangana.
