Union Minister flip-flops on statement, says no need for Goa CM's replacement

Panaji, Nov 11 (UNI) Two days after saying that leadership in Goa will have to be changed today or tomorrow, Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Shripad Naik on Sunday said that there was no need for replacement of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar as he was handling administration efficiently.
In a statement, he said,''Even though the Chief Minister is ill, he is handling administrative affairs well. Therefore there is no need for a change in leadership. If such a need does arise, then the party will take decision on it."
The union minister said that his comment on the leadership issue in the state was 'misinterpreted'.
