Union Health Minister emphasises global collaboration in vaccine research amidst COVID-19 Pandemic

Hyderabad, June 3 (UNI) Union Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya on Saturday underscored the significance for global collaboration in vaccine research and development during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Addressing the Global Vaccine Research Collaborative's virtual discussion on "Vaccine Research and Development: Building Consensus for Future Health Emergencies Prevention, Preparedness, and Response," organized by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, under India's G20 Presidency, Mandaviya emphasized the need for accelerated vaccine development, particularly for emerging pathogens.
"The Global Vaccine Research Collaborative could serve as a vital mechanism to advance vaccine R&D for emerging pathogens. To fulfill this critical mission, we must harness the collective expertise of the global health community and strengthen our pandemic preparedness efforts," Mandaviya said.
