Union govt to create 1.5 lake health and wellness centres by 2022: Harsha Vardhan

Kolar, Karnataka, Sep 15 (UNI) Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Harsha Vardhan said on Sunday that 1.5 Lakh health and Wellness centres would be established across India by the end of 2022.
He was addressing a gathering of people including medical fraternity, Anganwadi workers and public here after flagging off the district level awareness Jatha on the features of the central Government's most ambitious project Ayushman Bharat.
The Minister said already 21,000 such centres were created in various parts of the country and 40,000 more such centres will be opened by March 2020.
