Heavy rain likely in Telangana during the next 24 hours : Met

Hyderabad, Sep 11 (UNI) Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana during the next 24 hours and on September 13, Meteorological Centre said on Saturday.
In a bulletin here, it said that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in a few districts of the state during the next four days.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places or at isolated places in Telangana during the next five days, the bulletin said.
Southwest Monsoon has been normal in the state during the last 24 hours.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at Komaram Bheem district of Telangana during the same period.

Meanwhile, in a special bulletin, Met said the Low Pressure Area over East Central & adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal with associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height persists.
It is likely to move northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal off North Odisha and West Bengal coasts during the next 48 hours.
Then It is very likely to move west northwestwards across North Odisha and North Chhattisgarh during the subsequent 2-3 days.
Mainly low-level westerlies prevail in the state, the bulletin added.
