Undertrial released on parole tests COVID-19 positive in Palghar

Palghar, June 2 (UNI) A 30-year-old undertrial prisoner, who was released on parole from the Thane central jail on May 30, has tested COVID-19 positive, informed District Civil Surgeon Dr Kanchan Wanere on Tuesday.
After securing the parole, the man along with a police constable boarded a bus to Wada taluka here. Subsequently, he halted at his sister's place in Wada's Devli village, and then proceeded towards Jawhar taluka next day.
Upon reaching Ena village, the locals denied him entry and sent him for Corona testing at the medical center, Dr Wanere told, adding that his report was received on Monday night.
