Under 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' & 'Karobar Mission' Punjab's 'Punjab Job Helpline' for aspirants :Min

Chandigarh, Oct 30 (UNI) The Punjab Government under the flagship programme 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' is all set to launch a 'Punjab Job Helpline'.
Under this programme, the Department of Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training would run a call centre to facilitate the Youth of the state for employment services. The call centre people would address queries /calls in both Punjabi and English depending upon the comfort of the caller.
Disclosing this here Friday , Employment Generation Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said the 25 seat call centre would be established and provide services in all working days from Monday to Saturday from 0900 hrs to 1700 hours.

Gwalior, MP, Nov 28 (UNI) A Municipal Corporation functionary was placed under arrest here on Saturday – by Economic Offences Wing officials – when accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh while seated in a car.
“City Planner Pradeep Verma demanded inducement from a builder for approving a multi-storeyed building and this was the ‘maiden instalment’. The accused’s property details are under investigation,” Superintendent of Police (EOW) Amit Singh said.

Vidya Balan issue: Cong slams MP Govt

Bhopal, Nov 28 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh’s opposition Congress averred on Saturday – in the context of a controversy regarding Bollywood personality Vidya Balan – that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan should “advise” members of his Council vis-à-vis appropriate conduct.
“According to press reports, the actress’ film shooting in Balaghat District’s forested areas was impeded subsequent to her declining a dinner invitation extended by a certain minister during a direct interaction recently. This is a matter of perplexity and has brought disrepute to the state. It must be ensured that there is no recurrence,” the Congress state unit’s Media Cell Vice Chairman Bhupendra Gupta emphasised in a release.

nCoV: Kangra reports three deaths, 160 fresh cases

COVID: J&K reports fresh 512 +ve cases, 4 deaths

EOW files FIR in MP rice scam

Bhopal, Nov 28 (UNI) The Economic Offences Wing registered a first information report on Saturday – regarding rice-related inconsistencies in Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat and Mandla districts – against in excess of half-a-dozen officials plus others, EOW sources said.
In the beginning of this year, the state dispensation purchased paddy at support price from peasants through the medium of primary marketing and cooperative societies. The paddy was handed over to registered mills for custom milling and the rice subsequently deposited in godowns through the State Civil Supplies Corporation. The storage places were inspected by a central committee that collected samples for analysis, which revealed the rice to be substandard. It also came to light that the millers took paddy exceeding their facilities’ capacities and had it processed at other mills. Quality inspectors failed in their duty; the district and area managers did not check the rice.
