Uncertainty looms over release of political detainees in J&K

New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) Uncertainty looms over the possibility of early release of political detainees in Jammu and Kashmir as it depends on many factors like restoration of normalcy and improvement in the ground situation there, a senior Home Ministry official said here on Thursday.

“The local administration will decide upon the release of the political detainees once situation becomes normal and till then these leaders will have to remain under detention,”the official said.
