Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky calls funding an issue amid US greenlighting Kyiv's purchase of Patriot missile batteries

Kyiv/Washington, Oct 7 (UNI) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today said that Washington had approved Kyiv's purchase of the US-made Patriot missile systems, though admitted that funding remains an issue.
"The Americans have unblocked the option of Patriot purchases — not just missiles, but also systems," Zelensky said in remarks published by Novosti.Live on Telegram.
"The only problem is funding. That is why I count on immobilised (Russian) assets," he added, referring to Ukraine's calls to use frozen Russian funds in Western banks to finance its defence needs, reports TASS.
