Ukrainian defence minister briefs Pentagon chief

Kyiv, Aug 15 (UNI) Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov said on Thursday that he has briefed his US counterpart, Lloyd Austin, during a phone conversation about the situation on the frontline.
"Had a productive conversation with US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin. I informed about current situation at front and priority needs for our Defence Forces," Umerov wrote on X.
On August 6, Ukrainian forces crossed the border into Russia and launched an offensive in the Kursk Region.
