UK-Norway sign comprehensive defence cooperation agreement for hunting Russian subs in North Atlantic

London/Oslo, Dec 5 (UNI) The UK and Norway have unveiled a new defence pact that will see their navies jointly operate a warship fleet to "hunt Russian submarines" in the North Atlantic.
The agreement was jointly announced by the two countries, with Norwegian Minister of Defence Tore O Sandvik signing the agreement while meeting his British counterpart John Healey in London yesterday.
Followed up by talks between Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store and the UK premier Keir Starmer at Downing Street, Store hailed the agreement, calling it "a very important agreement on defence cooperation and integration".

Iran condemns European Parliament's "meddlesome, irresponsible" resolution

Tehran, Jan. 24 (UNI) Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Friday denounced a European Parliament resolution criticizing Tehran over human rights violations during recent unrest, calling it “meddlesome and irresponsible.”
The European Parliament on Thursday expressed “full solidarity” with Iranians, accused the government of rights violations, and called for the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps to be designated a terrorist organization.
