Panaji, Oct 20 (UNI) United Goans Foundation (UGF), a non-government organisation, has filed a complaint with Chief Vigilance Officer of Goa and State Director General of Police (DGP) seeking direction to the authorities concerned to file an FIR in an alleged scam undertaken in awarding consultancy for Spaces interior works as well as work tender for the same work in 2013-14.
According to UGF President Ashish Kamat, the complaint was filed against present Members of Legislative Assembly in the state Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who was then Chairman of Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC), Goa Assembly Speaker Dr Pramod Sawant, then Vice Chairman of the GSIDC, Sidharth Kuncalienkar, the then Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sanjit Rodrigues, then Managing Director of GSIDC, Sudesh Sangodkar, Manager (Civil) GSIDC, M/S Ameet Sukhtankar, empanelled architect and interior designer of GSIDC and Knachan Associates now 'Knchan Infrastructure Ltd, a contractor of GSIDC.
The complaint has sought direction to the vigilance department or the police to register an FIR into the case and book the individuals involved under section 7, 11 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, sections 119, 120, 405, 406, 409, 415, 417, 420 of the IPC for direct involvement in Criminal Corporate Liability under the Companies Act 2013.
