Uddhav slams Centre, Pradhan over Sonam Wangchuk's forced hospitalisation

Nagpur, July 18 (UNI): Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the Central Government and union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the handling of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike, alleging that the government forcibly shifted him to a hospital instead of engaging in dialogue
Speaking to the media after arriving at Nagpur airport to lead the party's 'Ram Raksha Pathan' agitation, Thackeray said the government should explain "how many more lives will be lost before Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation is sought."
"I have said this before as well, that there is no longer any coordination between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the administration. The ruthless and cruel manner in which the future of the youth is being toyed with is extremely shameful. If the government was truly concerned about Sonam Wangchuk's health, it should have invited him for talks much earlier," he said.
