UCCI urges Centre to relax interest rate and waive loan partially for MSME industries damaged by Cyclone Fani

Bhubaneswar, May 20 (UNI) The Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry(UCCI) today urged the Union government to relax interest rates on loans,application of GST for at least 3 months, partially waive loan and grant of subsidy for the revial of MSME sector divested by the Cyclonic storm Fani.
In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi , UCCI President Ramesh Mohapatra said the recent devastating cyclone ‘Fani’ ravaged a number of vital establishments and units involved in industrial production and Trade & Commerce activities.
He said the districts of Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur including the State capital Bhubaneswar have been affected badly.
