Two youths arrested with Chitta in Bhawarna

Dharamshala, Dec 13 (UNI) Police have arrested two youths with chitta (heroin) under Bhawarna police station limits in Kangra district.
According to the police, a team from Bhawarna police station was on routine patrolling when it received a tip-off. Acting on the information, the police apprehended 21-year-old Pariyan Rana, a resident of Gadiyada village, and 22-year-old Adit, a resident of Jalehar village, Banuri, both from Palampur tehsil.
During a search, police recovered 6.55 grams of chitta from their possession. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against both accused.

Forest fire incidents may rise in Theog, SDM says issuing SOPs

Shimla, Jan 14 (UNI) Rising incidents of fire has taken around 10 lives in last three days, also forced the state authority to sound alarm to public as its extreme cold weather.
Theog a hill subdivision located about 30 kilometres east of Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, in northern India was put on high risk following heavy inflammable pine forest and grass pastures.
