Two women drown in sea at Kakinada NTR beach

Kakinada, June 11 (UNI) Two women drowned in sea while taking bath at NTR beach here on Monday evening.

The deceased were identified as Medisetti Krishnaveni (27) and Jampa Sangeeta Lakshmi (23) residents of Medapadu village in Samalkot mandal.
Sources said the incident occurred on Monday evening. Three women drowned while taking bath at the beach. However, some youth, who were also bathing, came to their rescue and saved one of them. The other two drowned and bodies were retrieved a little later. The other woman who was rescued was identified as Medisetti Durga (20) also of the same village.
Thimmapuram police said that they have registered a case in the matter and shifted the bodies to government general hospital for postmortem.
