Two wanted miscreants held in UP

Rai Bareli, Jul 9 (UNI) Two wanted miscreants, carrying rewards of Rs 20,000 each, were arrested by the police in this Uttar Pradesh district, police said on Thursday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Swapnil Mamgai here said that police had received information that some suspects were traveling in an SUV on Wednesday night. During a vehicle check in the Bachranwa area, the miscreants opened fire on the cops rather than showing the car papers and started escaping towards Maharajganj. They were then chased by the cops and later arrested near the Barhua turn.
During the encounter, one of the miscreants sustained a bullet wound. The arrested miscreants have been identified as Ranjit and Ravi Singh Chauhan.
