Two run over by speeding truck in Jharkhand

Khunti, Aug 2 (UNI) Two youths were run over by a speeding truck at Ormanja under Raniya police station area of this district.

The deceased have been identified as Subran Kongadi (32) and Anil Kongadi (30).

Both hailed from Kijurtoli of Torpa block. The duo were going to somewhere when they were hit by a truck which was going towards Simdega from Khunti and both died on the spot.

Before hitting the ground, the scooty, in which the victims were travelling, also hit a bike and two other people sustained minor injuries.

Later, police seized the truck from an eating joint under Kamdara Police Station area but the driver and the cleaner had managed to flee.

Both the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
