Srinagar, Oct 17 (UNI) Two non-local labourers were killed and another injured in a militant attack in south Kashmir's Kulgam district Sunday evening, police said.
The shooting took place in the Wanpoh area of Kulgam.
"Terrorists fired indiscriminately upon #NonLocal labourers at Wanpoh area of #Kulgam. In this #terror incident, 02 non-locals were killed and 01 injured. Police & SFs cordoned off the area," a police tweet said.
The slain have been identified as Raja Rishi and Joginder Rishi from Bihar.
The incident took place a day after two non locals were killed in Srinagar and Pulwama.
In the wake of series of targeted killings, J&K police issued an advisory asking non-locals to be brought to the nearest police station, Central Armed Police Force and army camps.
This month's 11 civilians have been killed by militants.
