Two more COVID-19 deaths, 62 fresh infections in Meghalaya

Shillong, Dec 4 (UNI) The death toll due to COVID-19 went up to 118, while the active case count was registered at 630 in Meghalaya with 62 fresh infections reported on Friday, even as the State recorded 78 more recoveries from the viral disease, upping the number of recovered cases to 11,319, health officials said.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War said two more COVID-19 related deaths were reported today from the East Khasi Hills district and West Garo Hills district.
East Khasi Hills recorded 34 more COVID-19 cases today, making it the most affected district with 331 active cases as on date, followed by West Garo Hills, which registered 12 more cases today, taking up the caseload in the district to 152, the senior medical official said.
