Two militants arrested, arms, ammunition, cash recovered in south Kashmir

Anantnag, Sep 25 (UNI) Security forces arrested two suspected militants and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition and cash on Srinagar-Jammu national highway in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, official sources said on Friday.
They said a joint naka was established by troops of Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police, 9 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and CRPF at Qazigund on the highway on Thursday night.
During the naka a car was intercepted, they said adding two suspected militants were arrested after large cache of arms and ammunition, including two automatic rifle, one pistol, eight magazines, over 400 rounds of ammunition, grenades and cash were recovered.
It was not immediately clear whether the arms and ammunition was being smuggled into Kashmir valley from Jammu or any other place.
The car has also been seized, they said a case has been registered and further questioning of arrested persons was going on.
