Two Maoists cadre arrested in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 12 (UNI) Special Team from L B Nagar Police Station on Tuesday arrested two top Maoists (wife and husband).

Police seized Maoist literature and three laptops, pen drive and memory cards and correspondence with the Maoists.

On credible information, the special team arrested Narla Ravi Sharma (56) and Bellapu Anuradha (54) at Vishalandra colony, Mansoorabad, L B Nagar. They were on bail and actively participating in revolutionary activities and also involved several unlawful activities, a police statement here said.

Sixteen cases were registered against Ravi Sharma in which eleven are in Jharkhand, four in Hyderabad and one at Chintapalli Visakhapatnam Rural, Andhra Pradesh.

Out of sixteen cases, one case is pending at Tenughat, Bokaro district, Jharkhand.

In November 2018 he met ex CCMs Jantu Mukherjee, BP Singh at Kolkata and in March 2019 with Varanasi Subramanyam at Hyderabad.

Ravi Sharma is actively involved in the formation of All India Forum against Hindutva Facist Offensive in February 2019 at Delhi.

He is continuing his war against the State and actively promoting revolutionary activities in the State and country.

The seizure of large quantity of literature and digital gadgets from his house authenticate that he is a hard core Maoist.

The analysis of incriminating literature and digital data seized will further substantiate the charges levelled against him.

He was frequently going underground for long periods and taking part in the meetings of top Maoists in Chhattisgarh and other parts of the country. He disappeared from July 21, 2018 to August 6, 2018 with his wife Anuradha.
