Two machine operators electrocuted

Eluru, Oct 14 (UNI) Two paddy harvesting machine operators were electrocuted and another sustained injuries when the machine came into contact with a high tension electric wire at Vellamilli village in Ungaturu mandal in West Godavari district today.
Police said a farmer hired a paddy harvesting machine to harvest his paddy field. When the deceased Jagapathi (26) and Bhaskara Rao (30) were operating the machine at the field, it came into contact with high tension electric wires. Both the deceased died on the spot.
Another person, Pawan, sustained electric shock in the incident. Ungaturu police registered a case and shifted the injured to the Government hospital in Eluru.

Itanagar, Mar 29 (UNI) In a repeat of previous poll outcomes, the hilly Northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh is ‘set’ to witness seven candidates from ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including Chief Minister Pema Khandu, getting elected 'unopposed' to the 11th Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh, 'without a contest'.
After ‘complete’ scrutiny of nominations filed for all 60 Assembly Constituencies, including the ‘adjourned’ scrutiny of papers done for Itanagar and Daporijo seats today, altogether seven validly nominated BJP candidates were found to be opponent free, and they are likely to be declared elected unopposed on Saturday after the last date of withdrawal of candidature, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Liken Koyu said.
