Two killed, 4 injured as truck rams autorickshaw

Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu Jul 5 (UNI) A septuagenarian woman and her son were killed, while four other members of their family seriously injured, when a speeding truck belonging to a parcel service company rammed into a stationary load autorickshaw at Ayankulam village on the Tirunelveli-Nagercoil highway here today.
Police said the deceased were identified as S.Kamatchi (70) and S.Ulaganathan (38).
The victims were proceeding to visit their kin, who is undergoing treatment at Government Medical College Hospital at Aasaripallam in Nagercoil. Enroute, the load autorickshaw was parked on the roadside to refresh, when the truck coming behind rammed into it. The truck was going to Nagercoil from Madurai.
